Finding Balance in Family Routines: Navigating the Mental Load
Finding Balance in Family Routines: Navigating the Mental Load
As moms, especially in the early years, the endless to-dos of family life can feel overwhelming. From back-to-school transitions to nap schedules, appointments, and daily tasks, the invisible mental load often falls on mothers’ shoulders. This free monthly wellness group offers a supportive space to pause, reflect, and connect with other moms who understand the weight of it all. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies to share the load, nurture balance in family routines, and remind ourselves that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

In this session, we’ll…
-
- Explore what the mental load looks like for moms in everyday family routines (the invisible work of planning, remembering, and managing).
- Reflect on the impact of carrying this load, emotionally, mentally, and relationally.
- Share gentle strategies for lightening the load, including communication, boundaries, and self-compassion.
- Connect with other moms in a supportive space, normalizing these struggles and building community.
What to Expect:
A welcoming, therapist-facilitated peer support space. You’ll be guided through reflections, calming practices, and conversation. Sharing is optional. Come exactly as you are. Note the group is not group therapy.
